According to an additional source who spoke with the site, "there have already been several rounds of discussions with the government on this." They are here in full force and have had a really positive experience thus far. In the upcoming years, they plan to quadruple their inventory, which will include iPhones, iPads, and a few more devices.
The insider informed the publication that "Mac range of laptops assembly may take some time as the production volume is very small."
Another industry insider stated, "It (the iPad) is like a bigger iPhone in essence." It may thus be manufactured in India without too much difficulty because Apple's contract manufacturers are already qualified to do such tasks.
