Robotics startup Addverb has announced plans to launch an advanced humanoid robot in 2025, designed as a sophisticated AI agent capable of processing multi-modal data from vision, audio, and touch inputs.
The robot will leverage dynamic, self-learning algorithms to navigate complex environments, perform intricate tasks, and make real-time decisions. It is aimed at addressing "3D" jobs—dull, dirty, and dangerous—across industries like warehousing, defence, and healthcare, according to co-founder and CEO Sangeet Kumar.
Equipped with cutting-edge GPU technology, energy-efficient actuators, and dual-arm capabilities, the humanoid will have bipedal mobility and use Visual and Language Action (VLA) technology for autonomous operations. It will handle tasks such as parcel sorting, quality inspection, assembly, and disaster relief with human-like dexterity and adaptability.
Founded in 2016, Addverb specializes in warehouse automation and industrial robotics, boasting clients like Flipkart, Unilever, and Johnson & Johnson. The company will collaborate with Reliance, its strategic investor, utilizing Jio AI and 5G platforms to enhance the humanoid and deploy it across Reliance’s diverse businesses.
